Don’t most teens do fine with braces?
Instead of multiple appliances, springs, bite-openers, expanders, and jaw advancers to fix everything, we have one solution that acts as all of the appliances – Invisalign! Most patients never have to use any other appliance besides their retainers and occasionally, rubber bands. With once-a-week photo uploads through WO-On Th Go, Dr Cody can monitor their treatment with precision from anywhere. This reduces in-office visits and total treatment times. This makes Invisalign the perfect choice for your busy teen!
I don't think my kid is going to wear the aligners.
Surprisingly, our teen patients are our most compliant patients! Across the country, you will find Invisalign providers that say the same exact thing about their teen patients. One of our favorite things to hear parents say is “I never thought in a million years that they would wear their aligners, but I was wrong! I’m so proud of them!” Your kids will surprise you, give them a chance!
What if my child throws their retainer away or loses it?
No problem at all! We at Wiktorski Orthodontics understand that life happens, and mistakes are made–we’re not perfect either! Most times we are able to move to the next aligner without any issues at all. We send your child home with two retainer cases so they will always have a safe place to put them when they’re not wearing them!
Will the Invisalign fit if the baby teeth fall out or if the permanent teeth come in?
Yes! Baby teeth falling out does not affect the Invisalign aligners at all, and we’ve added extra space in the aligners for those permanent teeth as well! If the retainers stop fitting because of the permanent teeth, all it takes is a quick scan to order new aligners that fit and that continue progressing treatment forward!
